This logistics system is used to track supplies, organizational equipment, and spare parts. Soldiers in this MOS are required to operate the Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-Army). Some examples of these documents or reports include stock records, inventory, material control, supply reports, and accounting. Specialists are responsible for establishing and maintaining various documents, reports, and regulation forms. They will perform automated recording of stock. When receiving a shipment or sending one out, they will review contracts, purchase requests and shipping documents to verify the actual quantities received match. ![]() Record KeepingĪutomated Logistical Specialist will ensure that the shipments are correct and that all data is logged correctly. Specialists physically unload and store supplies in addition to collecting and analyzing shipping data. This position contains both computer work and manual labor. These soldiers follow procedures to ship, receive, store and issue stock.
